Discover woodworking in a creative workshop right in the heart of Thessaloniki.
In SDR Lab’s weekly woodworking courses, you’ll learn step by step, practice regularly, and build handcrafted objects in a warm, friendly space, perfect for beginners and curious makers.

How it works

Monthly fee: 120€
Materials cost: not included

We maintain a growing collection of ready-made projects that you can choose to build during your time at the lab. Each project comes with the necessary guidance and access to the required tools and materials. The cost of materials for these projects typically ranges from 5-15€, depending on the build.

If you prefer, you can also work on a personal project of your own. In that case, you may either bring your own materials or purchase what you need directly from the lab.

Why wOODWORKING

Woodworking is more than just learning how to use tools, it’s a chance to slow down and create something real with your hands. In our weekly classes, you get steady, relaxed practice in a fully equipped woodworking lab, building skills step by step and gaining confidence from one session to the next. Spending just a couple of hours a week away from screens, you learn new tools and techniques, ask questions, refine details and gradually take on more ambitious projects, without pressure or rushing to finish. Over time, you’ll build a collection of handmade objects and furniture for your home, each one functional, personal and truly unique.

Woodworking also makes for meaningful handmade gifts, pieces created with care and your own hands. Along the way, you’ll share the space with other makers in Thessaloniki, learning together, exchanging ideas and supporting each other’s creative journey.

Tools & space

Get hands-on with woodworking equipment in a dedicated creative space at SDR Lab. Everything you need is ready for you each week.

  • Full access to all hand tools in the lab

  • Access to selected power tools (some require supervision)

  • Individual workbench spot for each participant

  • All necessary safety gear provided
