At SDR Lab, many of our workshop students have asked for guidance on which basic tools to buy—so we put together three toolset suggestions to help you get started: one budget-friendly, one mid-range, and one more premium option. These lists are based solely on our own experience and hands-on testing; we have no deals or agreements with any of the stores included. We truly believe you don’t need fancy or expensive equipment to begin—just a few essential tools, a good attitude, and the willingness to get dirty and start making.
